Terrapin Hop Karma Brown IPA

I have been absolutely infatuated with everything coming out of Terrapin's Athens, Georgia brewery! Their Monster Beer Tour was awesome (still have yet to locate a Gamma Ray), and their lower ABV brews have been delicious as well...

Continuing in the sampling of their year-rounders, Terrapin's Hop Karma Brown IPA did not let me down. This dark brown/ruby brew produced a three-finger tan head of big bubbles. The smell is of floral hops, and the first sip is a heavy earthy malt base chased by a bitter hop finish.

There is an obnoxious amount of ingredients that go into the production of this beer: 5 different types of hops for the IPA mixed with a 7 malt brown ale. The catchphrase is fitting - Peace, Love and Hoppiness!
