This beer was released just last November, and at first in a limited run of 150 - 1 pint, 6 oz. bottles (mine was numbered 76) only sold at the brewery.
Starr Hill The Gift is a golden colored brew with a two-finger head of white, fluffy foam that leaves heavy lacing on the glass. This Hellerbock was much lighter than I was expecting it to pour, and it smells both sweet and fruity. First taste is bready malts and sweetness with some grassy hops in the finish. I wouldn't call 6.5% ABV heavy, but there is some definite warming to this brew - perfect for enjoying by the fire!
