Yet another Irish Stout that has an "A" rating from BeerAdvocate.com...Is it just me, or do the Irish REALLY know how to use their malted barley?
O'Hara's Irish Stout is black in color with ruby tinges and pours to a one-finger bubbly, tan lace head. The brew smells of freshly roasted coffee, and at first sip is very creamy and malty. The velvety-smooth texture of this beer rivals that of a nitro-stout and the finish is dry and reminiscent of charcoal. The mouthfeel is lighter than that of an oatmeal or milk stout, and adds to its drinkability. One of the better stouts I have ever sampled!
