Erie Mad Anthony American Pale Ale

Erie Brewing is a new brewery to me, and I only know of them now because a buddy was kind enough to bring me back a sampler from New Jersey...And as I am a huge fan of APA's I figured this would be a good place to start.

Erie Brewing's Mad Anthony American Pale Ale is a clear, oily-yellow brew with a thin white head. The beer smells of buttery hops, and at first taste the dominant flavor is citrusy hops. This beer has a very fruity, sweet finish and a relatively tame IBU rating of 40. There is a bit of apricot flavor, so I liken this beer to a slightly hoppier version of Magic Hat's #9. Good brew!
