What better to do that then a beer that celebrates the Earth and the harvest?
Southern Tier Harvest Ale is a 6.7% ABV English Extra Special Bitter (ESB) that pours a dark golden red with a one-finger head of white foam. The bottle explains that it celebrates 4 different varieties of hops and 2 malts.
The beer smells very earthy and bitter, with a powerful woody, piney hop aroma. It is incredibly fresh tasting due to the use of new barley and several additions of hops. The heavier alcohol is masked by all of the character from the caramel sweetness and grassy bitterness. This is a really good beer!
